Foodie Friday: Food Porn

This post is straight up food porn.  If you are hungry at all, reading this and looking at the pictures will not help.  We had some wonderful food while on vacation on the right coast.  While we strive to follow our way of eating on vacation, I am not opposed to enjoying the regional cuisine.  Our friends had some amazing food at their wedding, grilled steak, glazed salmon, chicken with peaches, sweet potatoes and green beans (my go to bite is to the right!).  But then...there was a Macaroni & Cheese bar!  You filled your martini glass with macaroni & cheese, and could top it with a variety of toppings, bacon, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, onion strings, chilies, it was amazing.  I have known about this bar since July of last year, there was no way I was sitting this one out.  It was well worth it let me tell you, or rather, I will show you.
Seriously, could you resist?
After the wedding we stayed in Baltimore for a night to take in the Red Sox/Orioles game at Camden Yards.  We arrived around Noon and after checking into our hotel, went on the hunt for food.  We decided since we were in Maryland, crab cakes were in order.  We found a great little spot, Ryleigh's Oyster.  I introduced Ian to oysters a few years ago, he was skeptical at first, but as usual, once he tried them, he was hooked.  We ordered a dozen to start.  Unfortunately I was so excited to eat them, I forgot to take a photo until after.
I took their soul, and it was delicious!
For our meals we had the Crab Cakes, which were out of this world.  No filler, just tender, succulent crab meat, served with crispy sweet potato fries.  We also tried a chicken dish, that had crab meat on top and a crab aioli on the side.  It was supposed to be a sandwich but they served it on a nice bed of lettuce at our request.  It came with homemade potato chips.

Last photo is not food porn, but rather a very happy Ian.  He caught a foul ball at the game, and it was the day before his birthday!  It was a great trip, but back to reality, and Whole30, starting June 1st!
